Microsoft Purview | Purview Data Loss Prevention: New Microsoft Exchange predicates

Microsoft Purview has introduced four new predicates for Exchange that enable the detection of unlabeled messages and attachments, as well as content containing specific sensitive information types or labels. These features will allow users to create or edit Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies to target specific email components. The Exchange predicates are scheduled to become available from late August to September, 2024. It's important to note that there is presently no trainable classifiers or non-advanced rule support yet. This new feature is available by default.

For organizations looking to prepare, visit Microsoft Learn and review the steps to Create and deploy a DLP policy. Overall, these new features allow for a more fine-grained level of DLP policy control to address email-related data loss concerns.
