Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Lifecycle Management – Separation of the Copilot for Microsoft 365 retention policy location from Microsoft Teams chats
Microsoft is enhancing its compliance portal with a new feature for managing retention and deletion of Copilot for Microsoft 365 interactions, separate from Microsoft Teams chats. Currently, admins need to manage retention and deletion for both types of interactions using the same retention policy location. This upcoming feature provides a new location option to manage only Copilot interactions, making data lifecycle management simpler and more efficient.
The preview release for this feature is scheduled for September CY2024, with a full release expected in October CY2024. The enhancement will be available on the web platform and the cloud instance, worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant).
