Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management- Alert Spotlighting

Microsoft Purview's Insider Risk Management is a powerful tool that enables customers to create custom policies to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. The tool is designed with privacy as a foundational principle and includes features such as pseudonymization by default, role-based access controls, and audit logs to help ensure user privacy. The new Alert Spotlighting feature is designed to help prioritize high-priority alerts based on predefined rules, by giving them special attention on the alert list page. Alerts are spotlighted based on a rule-based algorithm that takes into consideration the alert's risk score, activities performed, tags, and triggers. The feature identifies alerts that would be of importance to admins based on historical volume analysis. The new feature is part of the General Availability Release, which will be available in December CY2024.
