Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – Progressive alert scoring

Microsoft Purview compliance portal has introduced a new feature called "Progressive alert scoring" which now assesses user activities more frequently within a 24-hour period to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks such as data leakage, IP theft, and security violations. Using this feature, alert insights will be updated every few hours, giving analysts timely alerts and continuously evolving insights. This feature is designed with privacy in mind, and user-level privacy is ensured through pseudonymization by default, along with role-based access controls and audit logs. With Insider Risk Management, customers can create their own internal policies and governance based on organizational requirements. The platform has been released in the Preview phase, with Preview date in January 2024 and Release date in April 2024.
