Visio Personal App in Teams
Teams users eagerly anticipating the release of the Visio Personal App can now breathe a sigh of relief. As per the latest update, the app rollout has already begun and is expected to be completed by mid-April 2023.
With no change to the existing file open behavior, the app will come pre-installed for all users, eliminating the need for admins to take any action at this time. However, the Visio Personal App comes with new abilities including the ability to pin the app to the app bar for easy entry point, pop out documents in a new window, and an app homepage to create new files or navigate documents. Teams' ribbon also undergoes visual changes for a decluttered experience consistent with the Office for the Web.
This development will allow multi-tasking between Teams chats and document editing, giving users an all-new experience. Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID has been assigned to this message, and users can stay tuned for further updates on this front.
