Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Loss Prevention – Oversharing Pop-up enhancements on Outlook win32 desktop
Microsoft is expanding the functionality of the oversharing pop-up in Outlook Win32 by introducing additional scenarios powered with predicates--such as Content is not labeled, Message/Attachment is not labeled, and File extension is--as well as a customizable oversharing dialog. This dialog allows users to configure customized content, business justifications, and dynamic variables/tokens for matched recipients, attachment names, and labels. The enhancements aim to prevent data loss by giving users greater control over their data, as well as helping them make more informed sharing decisions. This product will be released in General Availability by October 2024, and will be available on a web cloud instance for DoD, GCC High, and GCC.
