Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention – DLP Policy tips revamp for Outlook win32

Microsoft is introducing new and improved Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Policy tips for Outlook win32 in a bid to prevent unauthorized or accidental sharing of sensitive information through emails. The enhanced DLP Policy tips offer real-time alerts and recommendations to help organizations identify any sensitive information being shared with unauthorized recipients or domains, and take the necessary action to prevent data loss. The revamped DLP Policy tips also support a richer set of DLP conditions and exceptions, including content containing sensitive information or sensitivity label, along with sender and recipient information. Furthermore, they support advanced classifiers like Trainable classifiers, Exact data match (EDM), and Named Entities, and also include an override feature that allows users to modify or override policies quickly and easily if allowed in the DLP rule configuration. The public preview rollout for the new and improved DLP Policy tips will begin in March and is expected to be complete by mid-April while the general availability rollout will begin in early April and is expected to be complete by late April.
