Microsoft Purview | Data Loss Prevention: Oversharing Popups enhancements in Microsoft Outlook for Windows (32 bit)

Microsoft Outlook for Windows (32 bit) for E5 users is set to receive an update that enhances the functionality of Oversharing popups. These popups are used to show policy tips as a dialog, and the update aims to bring better parity with the deprecating AIP popups. The update includes more DLP predicates for policy tips and Oversharing dialogs such as Content is not labeled, Message is not labeled, Attachment is not labeled, and File extension is. Additionally, customization options for the Oversharing dialog will be expanded and include a configurable title, body, business justifications, dynamic variables for matched recipients, labels, and attachment names in multiple locales. These changes are set to roll out beginning in late March 2024 for Public Preview and early May 2024 for Standard Release, concluding by late April 2024 and early July 2024 respectively. Organizations are advised to migrate to DLP policy tips and Oversharing popups for their use cases. For more information, refer to the Oversharing Popups Playbook and other Microsoft resources.
