Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – New contextual predicates in service-side auto-labeling (U.S. Government clouds)

Microsoft's Purview compliance portal has added new contextual predicates to its auto-labeling capabilities for their information protection services on U.S. Government clouds. The new predicates include the ability to label based on document properties, file extensions, document size, and whether or not the document is created by specific individuals. These features will only be available in advanced rules in OneDrive and SharePoint locations. This update is scheduled to be released in September 2023, and it is expected to enhance the platform's capabilities, especially for government cloud instances GCC, GCC High, and DoD.

If you're a Microsoft user on government cloud instances, this update is worth checking out to keep your data secure and labeled correctly. For more information on the update, check out the roadmap link.
