Microsoft Loop app transitioning to the cloud.microsoft domain
In the near future, the Microsoft Loop app will be transitioning to the cloud.microsoft domain, a dedicated DNS domain space provisioned by Microsoft in early 2023. This move will provide a unified, trusted, and secure domain to host Microsoft's first-party authenticated SaaS products and experiences. Users of the Microsoft Loop app will be automatically redirected from the old URL to the new loop.cloud.microsoft domain, and no specific user action is required. However, it is advised to educate users on the new domain and to update any organizational websites or materials that reference the old URL to avoid confusion. Admins should also ensure that connections to *.cloud.microsoft are not blocked from their clients and enterprise networks. Overall, this change is designed to improve security and provide a better user experience for Microsoft's cloud users.
