Microsoft Teams: New expanded gallery view option for minimized meeting window

Microsoft Teams is introducing an expanded gallery view for minimized meeting windows which will enable users to multitask while keeping track of up to 4 attendees and their interactions. This new feature will be available by default and will roll out between early July to late August 2024. The expanded view can be toggled via a new UI control and will allow users to see up to 4 meeting participants, along with their reactions, raised hands, and a "Me" tile. This will enable participants to keep track of the meeting activity while multitasking and without missing any important information. Users can switch back to the active speaker view when needed. No preparation is needed as this feature is available by default. This update has been detailed under Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 398449.
