Microsoft Teams: Mention Everyone in chat
Microsoft Teams now allows users to mention "Everyone" in group and meeting chats, in addition to mentioning specific individuals. To use this feature, users can type @ and select "Everyone" from the options. When the message is sent, all users in the group chat, based on their notification settings, will receive a notification. Users can adjust these settings in their Teams notification preferences. This feature will be automatically enabled in chats with more than two users and any meeting chat. In group chats with more than 50 users, the sender will be alerted about notifying a large number of users. Users are advised to inform their teams about this feature and encourage them to adjust their notification preferences accordingly. This feature is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 101573 and will start rolling out in late January, with expected completion in late February 2023.
