Microsoft Teams: Chat/Channel Copilot will Preserve Side Pane Preferences

Microsoft Teams: Chat/Channel Copilot will Preserve Side Pane Preferences

Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft Teams chat and channels is about to get a whole lot better with the announcement that side pane preferences will be preserved for a specific chat thread. This means that when you open Copilot in one group chat and navigate away from it, it will remain open when you return to that chat thread. The rollout of this feature for desktop and web users is expected to be completed by mid-February 2024 for commercial tenants. Prior to this change, when you navigated away from Copilot and came back, it would be closed. To close Copilot after the update, simply deselect the icon. No user action is required and this change should keep your users happy and productive.
