Microsoft Teams: Integrate Chat notification with Meeting RSVP status
Microsoft Teams is set to release a new feature that will allow users to manage how they get notified in meeting chats through their RSVP status. Once a user declines a meeting, they will no longer receive chat notifications or see the chat in their list. However, accepting a meeting invite will result in notifications for all new messages. This feature will be available on Microsoft Teams Desktop, mobile, and web applications, and will give users greater control over managing their chat list. It is expected to roll out in early February 2024 for Targeted Release and complete by late March 2024 for DoD. Organizations should ensure that their users are aware of this new feature and its impact on their meeting chat notifications.
