End of Microsoft Places Preview Program

End of Microsoft Places Preview Program

Microsoft is winding down its Places Preview program as it prepares to launch the General Availability version of Places. The program will stop accepting new sign-ups when the General Availability version is launched and will completely close on January 6th, 2025. Development of the mobile app has been put on hold, with experiences within Teams and Outlook taking priority. Existing beta users will lose access to the mobile app when the build expires at the end of November 2024. Users who need more time to evaluate Places features can acquire trial licenses. After January 6th, 2025, core Places features will remain available to users with a qualifying Microsoft 365 subscription.
