Microsoft Outlook: Simplified mobile app sign in

Microsoft is set to introduce a new feature to its Outlook mobile apps that will simplify the sign-in process via QR code. The feature is scheduled to roll out from mid-August to mid-November 2024, and administrators can disable it if necessary. Users can use the QR code to sign in securely without entering their username or password. Once signed in, users remain logged in unless they manually sign out. Notification of the change and updates to relevant documentation are recommended ahead of the rollout, while existing users can easily scan the QR code to sign in. For more information, consult the Microsoft 365 admin center.
