Microsoft Outlook: Sync folder order

Microsoft Outlook: Sync folder order

Microsoft Outlook mobile users can now rejoice as the order of folders in the app will soon sync with the folder order on Outlook web, Mac, and Windows platforms. This improvement in user experience and convenience is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 422816 and will begin rolling out in early December 2024. By early January 2025, all users can expect to see the updated folder order on their mobile devices.

Note that users can re-order the folders, but they must do so on Outlook for the web, Mac, and Windows devices as folder re-ordering is currently not supported on mobile devices. This feature is activated by default, and it can't be turned off. No admin action is required as it will happen automatically. However, administrators may want to notify their users of this change and update any relevant documentation accordingly.

So if you're a Microsoft Outlook mobile user, you can look forward to a more seamless experience that aligns with other platforms very soon!
