Microsoft Teams: Timeline Markers in Meeting Recordings When User’s Name is Mentioned (Teams Premium)

Microsoft Teams is introducing a new feature that enables users with Teams Premium license to easily locate the moments at which their name was mentioned in a Teams meeting recording. When a user's name is mentioned, icons will appear above the video timeline in the recording to personalize the markers seen only by that user. This will help users locate who mentioned their name and in what context, allowing them to jump to that part of the meeting effortlessly. Rollout for this feature is expected to be completed by late April for standard release and late May for GCC, with targeted release starting in early March. It is important to note that this feature is only available to customers who have purchased Teams Premium add-on license and is only applicable to meetings that have been transcribed and recorded.
As a Teams Premium user, you can take advantage of this new feature to gain better insights into your meeting conversations by easily locating the moments in the recording that are relevant to you. Just keep in mind that no action is required from you at the moment, and this feature is only available for Teams Premium users, and meetings that are transcribed and recorded. If you wish to take advantage of this feature, make sure to update your training materials and notify your Teams Premium users about this change.
