Meeting organizers can manage who can record and transcribe meetings (Premium)
Microsoft Teams is upgrading the 'Who can record' control in its meeting organizer feature to now include transcription as well. The change will enable meeting organizers with a Teams Premium license to access a control called 'Who can record and transcribe' in the meeting options, providing them with the ability to choose between two options: (1) organizers and co-organizers, or (2) organizers, co-organizers, and presenters. By allowing meeting organizers to manage which roles have the ability to initiate recording and transcription in meetings, Teams Premium ensures more secure and confidential meetings. This upgrade will be available on Mac and Cloud Instance DoD, Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), GCC, GCC High platforms, with a targeted release date of March CY2024.
To make the most of this upgrade, meeting organizers will require a Teams Premium license.
