Microsoft Teams: Allow meeting apps to show an indicator on their icon to signal new activity

Microsoft Teams is set to introduce a new feature that will allow meeting applications to show an indicator on their icon, signalling the presence of new activity. The feature enables applications to encourage user participation in in-app activities during a meeting, thereby fostering more dynamic and engaging collaborations. Depending on user preference, the indicator can be set to display to all participants or selected attendees. This feature will be available on the desktop and cloud platforms, and will be released in June CY2023 for the Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), GCC Cloud Instances.
