Microsoft Edge: Moving Managed Site Indicator (Briefcase icon) into the lock icon in the address bar omnibox

Microsoft Edge: Moving Managed Site Indicator (Briefcase icon) into the lock icon in the address bar omnibox

Microsoft Edge recently made a change to the way the briefcase icon, which indicates that a page is managed, is displayed on their browser. It has now been integrated into the lock icon found in the address bar. This change means that if an admin wishes to view the protections for a particular page, they can simply open the lock icon to look for the briefcase indicator. This feature was released in February CY2024 and is available on the web cloud instance worldwide. Microsoft Edge aims to provide users with a clear and easily accessible way of viewing information about managed websites.

If you are an M365 admin, this update will be of interest to you. It is important to stay informed about changes to web browsers, as they can impact the way your company manages websites. This change is part of Microsoft Edge's goal to create user-friendly experiences that are both informative and efficient.
