Microsoft Outlook: Notifications will be batched in the Notifications pane

New changes are coming to Microsoft Outlook for Windows desktop and Outlook for the web in the form of a notification batching feature. This feature groups notifications in the user's Notifications pane by subject matter, separating them into batches for easy access. Specifically, items pertaining to the same email thread, document, or spreadsheet are grouped together. The Notification pane can be accessed by selecting the bell icon in the top right corner of Outlook, and batched notifications can be identified by a chevron (^) in the top right corner. Users can expand the chevron to view all related messages. The feature will be available by default and is set to roll out beginning in late November 2024, with completion expected by late December 2024 for Targeted Release and early February 2025 for General Availability (Worldwide). Organizations are advised to notify their users about the change and update any relevant documentation.
