Microsoft Defender for Office 365 to stop honoring ReportJunkEmailEnabled in OwaMailboxPolicy
Microsoft Defender for Office 365 is making a change to the way it handles the ReportJunkEmailEnabled feature in OwaMailboxPolicy. Instead of using this property, administrators are now recommended to use the User Reported Settings page in the Microsoft Defender portal. This change will be gradually rolled out to customers starting from November 25th, 2022, and will be completed by December 10th, 2022. The ReportJunkEmailEnabled property will no longer be available for turning end user reporting on or off in Outlook via the Report message add-in or Report phish add-in or Outlook report buttons. Administrators can use the Get-OwaMailboxPolicy command to check their property configuration. It is important for admins to prepare for this change and switch to using the User Reported Settings page.
