Microsoft Defender for Office 365: Built-in Protection Time of Click URL Email Protection

Microsoft Defender for Office 365 customers will soon be able to benefit from enhanced security features as the final remaining aspect of the built-in protection policy is rolled out. This includes SafeLinks URL time of click email protections, which will be enabled for all users not already protected under a Standard or Strict preset. The roll-out will take place from late February to late March and is designed to offer users instant protection through the built-in preset. However, admin action is not required and no impact will be felt by those who already have a Safe Links or Safe Attachments policy in place. Additionally, users already covered by custom policies will not be impacted as built-in protection has the lowest priority. If additional domains are added to your tenant, they will receive automatic protection through Built-In-Protection. While it is possible to configure exceptions to built-in protection for particular users, groups, or domains, Microsoft does not recommend this approach. To learn about specific security settings set by Built-in-Protection and how to configure it, see the additional links provided."
