This post discusses the integration of the Junk/Phishing Reporting Actions in Outlook for Mac with Microsoft Defender. With this integration, the appearance and behavior of Report Phishing/Report Junk actions in Outlook for Mac can be controlled by administrators using User Reported Settings in security.microsoft.com. The admin can choose whether these Report actions appear in Outlook and customize the text and other aspects of the dialogs that appear before and after users report phishing or junk. Furthermore, admins can control where these messages get reported to and whether the user is prompted when they report phishing or junk.
It is noteworthy that this feature is set for General Availability release on June CY2024. It will be available for users on the Mac platform and Cloud instances including GCC, GCC High, and Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant).
