Microsoft 365 Copilot: Self-service purchase settings in Microsoft 365 admin center (E3, E5)

If you have an E3 or E5 license, you can now manage self-service purchase settings for Microsoft 365 Copilot in the admin center. These settings will be generally available for global admins or billing admins in October 2024, and can currently be managed and disabled. Before this rollout, administrators were not able to set preferences for self-service purchase of M365 Copilot in settings, but will be able to control settings on self-service purchases of Microsoft 365 Copilot for users. These settings are enabled by default but can be reviewed at Settings - Microsoft 365 admin center or disabled using MSCommerce PowerShell scripts. It is recommended to review your current configuration to determine the impact for your organization.
Microsoft Learn offers resources on managing self-service purchases and trials for admins, and the rollout will happen automatically by the specified date with no admin action required before the rollout.
