Admins overseeing Microsoft Viva Engage can now manage the service even without a dedicated service plan, according to a recent announcement. The change is effective this May and enables Global admins and Engage admins to manage the service without being assigned a service plan for Viva Engage. The roll-out is automatic, but admins are advised to adjust licenses and update documentation accordingly. Other admin roles like Yammer Network Administrator, Yammer Verified Administrator, Corporate Communicator, Answers Administrator, and Community Administrator still require a "Viva Engage Core" plan for access. Admins accessing Viva Engage from Microsoft Teams must also ensure they have the right licensing. To learn more, visit Microsoft's Teams Product Plans page.
