Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – Recommended thresholds in policy wizard

Microsoft has introduced a new feature to enable tailored recommended thresholds for all built-in indicators within the policy wizard for admins with appropriate permissions. This feature facilitates organizations in fine-tuning their insider risk policies to get an optimum number of alerts. Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management identifies potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations by correlating various signals. Users' privacy is ensured with pseudonymization by default, audit logs, and role-based access controls. The update is available under General Availability Release since February CY2024 and the Preview date is in August CY2023. This feature is accessible on the Web Cloud Platform for Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), DoD, GCC, and GCC High instances. This update is aimed at equipping customers with tools to manage security and compliance with privacy by design.
