OneDrive: Performance improvements
OneDrive for Web and Files app in Teams just got faster with the introduction of a new feature that reduces page load times. Regardless of your network speed, you can now expect faster screen loading, sorting, filtering, file moving, and renaming operations. The technology behind this performance improvement entails storing file metadata in the local cache of your device, instead of repeatedly requesting it from the cloud service. This will make your experience smoother and improve overall productivity. The feature is set to be generally available in December CY2023, with previews expected to begin in November CY2023. The OneDrive performance improvement will be available on the web and cloud platforms worldwide, for standard multi-tenant instances.
