OneDrive: Performance improvements
OneDrive is set to become even faster! With this feature, users can expect quicker load times when using OneDrive for the web or the Files app in Teams, regardless of their network speed. This includes faster screen loading, sorting, filtering, file movements, and renaming. This improvement in performance is achieved by storing file metadata in the local cache of your device, rather than requesting it from the cloud service. This feature is set to be generally available by December CY2023, following the preview release in November CY2023.
So with faster load times and improved performance, using OneDrive is set to become an even more seamless experience for users.
