Microsoft Teams: Users will exclusively control their voice and face data exports
Microsoft Teams is set to improve user privacy and security by granting users the exclusive right to export their voice and face data. This significant change, outlined as part of Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 413709, is expected to be rolled out from mid-October to late October 2024. The new feature can be accessed via Teams settings, and it doesn't require any admin action. So far, the ability to download voice and face data has been an admin privilege. However, this modification is intended to align with Microsoft's privacy and security commitments to empower users to control their data. As a result, unauthorized access or sharing of data will be reduced as users will handle their own requests without administrators' intervention. Hence, assist your organization by updating documentation and notifying your admins and users about this impending change.
