Filter Messages by Events
Outlook will add an “Events” filter to help users quickly find calendar invitations and event-related messages. Rolling out globally from late August to September 2026, it requires no admin action but suggests updating user communications and support materials. What and why: We’re introducing a new Events message filter in Outlook that helps users quickly find calendar invitations and event-related messages in their mailbox. Users can select Events from the filter drop-down menu to view meeting invitations and related event communications in one place. This update helps users more easily locate meeting requests, stay organized, and respond to invitations in a timely manner. Rollout schedule: General Availability (Worldwide): Rollout will begin in late August 2026 and is expected to complete by late September 2026. General Availability (GCC): Rollout will begin in late August 2026 and is expected to complete by late September 2026. General Availability (GCC High): Rollout will begin in late August 2026 and is expected to complete by late September 2026. Impact on your organization: Who is affected: Outlook users in Worldwide, GCC, and GCC High environments. Platforms: Outlook (additional platform details should be included if available). After this rollout: Users will see a new Events option in the Outlook message filter menu. Selecting Events will display calendar invitations and event-related messages. Users can more efficiently locate meeting invitations and manage RSVP responses. Action required / Recommendations: No admin action is required before rollout. Consider notifying users about this new capability. Update internal training and support documentation, as appropriate. Review help desk guidance for questions related to locating meeting invitations in Outlook. Message ID: MC1458484
