Microsoft Teams: Join meetings with a QR code on Teams Rooms on Android using Teams mobile
Microsoft Teams now allows users to join meetings on Teams Rooms through QR codes, using their mobile device camera without needing to forward an invite to the room calendar. The scanning of the QR code enters the user into the Teams mobile companion mode on their mobile device. The QR code feature can also be used to start an ad-hoc meeting or share content from the mobile device. If the Teams mobile app is not installed, the user is directed to download it after scanning the QR code. The use of the feature can be controlled by IT admins in the device settings and Teams admin center. The feature supports cross-tenant meetings based on organization and user policies. This functionality was made available in April CY2024 for Microsoft Teams, and is live on the cloud instance of GCC, GCC High, and Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant).
