Microsoft Teams: Simplified sign in for iOS and Android devices

Microsoft Teams is introducing a new feature for iOS and Android devices designed to simplify the sign-in process. Admins will now be able to enable a setting that pre-fills user domain names using app configuration policies. This will result in a faster sign-in process for users, particularly those who frequently sign in and out of shared devices in frontline jobs. The change is set to begin rolling out globally in late March 2024. After the configuration policies are set, users can sign in with the first part of their user principal name (UPN) without the domain name, and a numeric keypad can also be enabled for users who have numeric-only UPNs. It is important to note that users can still sign in with their full email or another method if they prefer. Admins will need to set the app configuration policies to use this feature, and it is recommended to notify users of this change.
