Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Identify, add and preserve Teams channels as data locations in eDiscovery (Premium)
Microsoft is rolling out a new capability within the Microsoft Purview compliance portal: the ability to add Teams channels as non-custodial data locations for eDiscovery purposes. This will help to intelligently identify associated custodian or group mailboxes, as well as SharePoint sites related to the channel.
This update is currently in public preview, with general availability expected in mid-November. To utilize this feature, users can navigate to the Data Sources > Add data locations > Teams option within the portal.
For organizations looking to bolster their eDiscovery efforts and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, this new feature is a welcome addition to the Microsoft Purview compliance portal.
