Microsoft Dynamics 365 – Delete stub, unlicensed, and removed Microsoft Entra group users feature is now available
Microsoft Dynamics 365 now has a new feature that allows users to delete stub, unlicensed, and removed Microsoft Entra group users. This feature was made generally available on August 8, 2024. Previously, stub users, unlicensed, or removed Microsoft Entra group users couldn't be deleted, leaving them in a Dataverse environment with a disabled status and unable to log in.
With the new feature, users with a disabled status can be deleted, allowing for compliance with privacy laws, regulatory requirements, and freeing up storage space. If users are imported from another system, they are created as stub users with a disabled status, which can now be deleted. Similarly, users with a disabled status due to lost licenses or removal from the environment's Microsoft Entra group can also be deleted.
