Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – Adaptive Protection and Conditional Access

Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management is a platform that helps organizations identify potential insider risks such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. It uses various signals to correlate and highlight potential risks and facilitates the creation of custom policies based on an organization's internal policies and governance requirements. The latest improvements in the Adaptive Protection tab have included Conditional Access policies informed by insider risk levels, making it easier for organizations to ensure compliance. Additionally, new user insights are available in the activity timeline for when a user is added or removed from an insider risk level. Privacy is a top priority with Purview Insider Risk Management, with pseudonymization of users by default and additional privacy safeguards in place, including role-based access controls and audit logs.
