Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Sequence detection starting with downloads from third-party sites

Microsoft has added a new sequence feature to its Purview Insider Risk Management tool, enabling admins to detect user actions that start with downloading data from third-party domains such as Dropbox or Box. This increases visibility into actions that take place across multi-cloud environments and help security teams identify potential data security incidents. The tool also enables customers to create policies to manage security and compliance, and uses privacy by design principles, with pseudonymized users and access controls in place. The sequence detection preview is currently available and the tool is set for general availability release in August CY2023 on the web cloud instance GCC High, DoD, GCC.
