Microsoft Purview compliance portal: eDiscovery (Premium) – Collections options settings enhancements (U.S. Government clouds)
Microsoft has enhanced its Purview compliance portal by offering a range of options to ensure that content is collected as per the requirements of the case. With the new options, eDiscovery admins can set default collection settings and enable eDiscovery managers to customize those defaults for each case and collection. For each collection, eDiscovery managers can now choose from options like cloud attachments, Teams as conversations, partially indexed items, and more. This feature is currently in Preview Release, with a launch date set for March 2023. The platform will be available on Web Cloud Instance GCC, GCC High, DoD and has been created since 2023-01-14.
To summarize, Microsoft's Purview compliance portal has introduced new and much-needed options to enhance content collection for eDiscovery. These options include default customization settings, a range of content collection options, and much more. Currently available in Preview Release, the feature is set to be launched in March 2023 on Web Cloud Instance GCC, GCC High, DoD.
