[Updated] Important information about Microsoft Power Automate emails

If you're a user of Microsoft Power Automate emails, it's important to note that basic authentication will be retired in late January 2023. This means that users with Office Version 2301 or higher on their devices won't be able to access resources from servers using basic authentication. Once the upgrade takes place, end-users will receive a warning message before being blocked from accessing files stored on servers using Basic Authentication. Exchange Online team is working on deprecating Basic Authentication separately, and Outlook will continue to support Basic Authentication with Exchange Online till the work is complete. This change will not affect Exchange Online and Exchange on-premises nor Windows file share access. However, access to files stored on SharePoint on-premises servers using basic authentication will be blocked. Users can move these files to SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Server on-premises, or a more secure authentication protocol.

So if your organization is using Basic Authentication to access resources, it's important to take note of this change and make necessary adjustments to switch to a more secure authentication protocol before May 2023, when blocking of access to all resources using Basic Authentication will begin.
