Microsoft is making it easier to maintain sensitive information integrity with PDF files created from Microsoft 365 apps. With this new feature, PDFs generated from Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in Office for Android will automatically inherit the same sensitivity labels as their source files, provided the label is unencrypted. This means that even if a PDF file is shared or transmitted independently, it retains the same sensitivity label and level of protection as its source document.
By implementing this feature, Microsoft is streamlining the transfer of sensitive information by minimizing the risk of data breaches or information mishandling. This enhancement is part of Microsoft's continued push to prioritize data protection and security across its suite of products.
