Microsoft Teams: Join Teams work meetings from Microsoft Teams (free) and vice versa
This post provides information about a new feature that allows users with personal Microsoft accounts to join Teams work meetings from the free version of Microsoft Teams and vice versa. This means that users will be able to join work meetings with their personal accounts and retain access to the meeting chat after the meeting has ended. Currently, users with personal accounts can only join work meetings as guests, but this feature will allow them to join in one click without being redirected to a browser. The feature is scheduled to roll out between early February 2024 and mid-March 2024 and will not affect current chat federation policies for organizations.
