Microsoft Teams: Join Teams work meetings from Microsoft Teams (free) and vice versa
Microsoft Teams now allows free users to directly join work meetings from within the client itself. This feature eliminates the need to join via a browser and be treated as a guest. It also enables Microsoft Teams (work or school) users to join the Microsoft Teams (free) meetings directly from within the client. This feature keeps Microsoft Teams (free) users connected even after the meeting has ended. This update is available on the desktop platform and worldwide for the Standard Multi-Tenant cloud instance. The release date for this feature is in February CY2024.
To summarize, Microsoft Teams now allows free users to seamlessly join work meetings without the need to use a browser. These users can enjoy the same benefits as Teams (work or school) users.
