Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Information Protection – Enhanced Classification Support for Thai language in Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive

Microsoft's Information Protection service now supports Thai language in Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive thanks to the addition of a new Word-Breaker feature to enhance classification capabilities. The feature automatically adds spaces to keywords in Thai language sentences, enabling higher match accuracy when creating Sensitive Information Type for classification purposes. This update is part of Microsoft's ongoing efforts to improve classification capabilities for enhanced data security. It is scheduled to be released in the General Availability phase in March 2024, with a preview release date of March 2024.

To access this feature, users can use the Microsoft Purview compliance portal, a web-based platform available on a worldwide basis (Standard Multi-Tenant). With this new capability, businesses can feel more secure in their data protection efforts, ensuring that sensitive information remains confidential and protected.
