Windows is set to replace the current Mail and Calendar apps with the all-new Outlook for Windows from September 2024. Though there are no changes yet, users may see a MailTip in their existing apps about the upcoming switch. As of now, the impact on organizations will be minimal, but users will be encouraged to try the new Outlook. Following the switch in 2024, users will no longer be able to use the existing apps, and instead be directed to use the new Outlook for Windows. Users with an Office 365 or Microsoft 365 subscription can access the new app, while others can use it to manage their personal email accounts. Organizations needn't take any action presently, but it is recommended to inform users of the change and to start testing the new Outlook.
