Outlook: Policy to Enable/Disable the new Outlook for Windows for an entire organization
Microsoft's new Outlook for Windows desktop client is being made available to customers in the Office Insiders Beta Channel with the option to try the preview client in current channel (preview) rolling out starting early October. If organizations do not want their employees to preview this new client yet, Microsoft is planning to release a policy at the end of September to disable access to the client for any organization. By default, the policy will be set to 'null', allowing employees to add their organization's accounts to the new Outlook for Windows. However, if organizations wish to disable access to the new Outlook for Windows for now, they can set the policy to prevent syncing for all accounts in the organization. This is an improvement on the cmdlet parameter released in May which required disabling access for each individual in the organization. Visit the provided link for more information on how to use policies and cmdlet parameters to control access to the new client for Outlook.
