Preview the new Microsoft Teams Windows client
Microsoft Teams is rolling out the preview version of its new desktop app for Windows, which is designed with a focus on speed, performance, and flexibility. The new app aims to provide better efficiency to organizations and reduce app load and meeting join time as well as memory usage by up to 50%. The new Teams app also offers support for multiple tenants and accounts, letting users sign in to multiple accounts simultaneously and receive notifications regardless of the account in use. However, certain customer segments and platforms may not receive this update immediately, and some features may not yet be available. The preview program for the new Teams experience began on March 27, 2023, for the public preview program and mid-April for the Targeted release program. Administrators and select users who are part of the Targeted release program can be among the first ones to experience the new features.
