Outlook: Open attachments in desktop apps from the new Outlook for Windows
The new Outlook for Windows now allows users to conveniently open attachments in their respective desktop apps with a simple double-click. Whether it’s a Word document, Excel spreadsheet, or PowerPoint presentation, you can seamlessly transition from viewing the attachment within Outlook to editing it in its native app by double-clicking on it. This new feature is currently available to all users as part of the General Availability release and is accessible through desktop and cloud platforms.
