In an upcoming update, Microsoft Teams will support tags in shared channels. This means that users will be able to use tags to mention and communicate with groups of people in shared channels. The update is set to roll out in mid-February 2024 for Targeted Release and in late February 2024 for Standard Release. End users will be able to use tags in shared channels without any additional preparation. Organizations, however, may need to manage who can create and manage tags within their tenant. For more information, end users can refer to the Using Tags in Microsoft Teams documentation. The message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 373555.
