Replacing banner for setup of corporate communicators and leaders in Microsoft Viva Engage premium with a card

Microsoft has announced an upcoming update to the setup banner displayed for the corporate communicators and leaders in Microsoft Viva Engage premium tenants. The update will only affect the visual appearance of the banner, which will be replaced with a card on the Home Feed. The actions and instructions for setting up user roles will remain the same, and the change only brings a visual difference to the experiences of the same set of users. The rollout is expected to take place from mid-January 2024 to late January 2024. Admins need to perform the same setup steps as before and assign at least three corporate communicators and leaders for their premium tenants. If these roles are not assigned, the card might reappear after dismiss. There is no necessary action required from admins ahead of the update. They may consider notifying their users and updating any relevant documentation in preparation for the change.

The update is aimed at refreshing the experience of the users and providing them with an up-to-date visual representation of the setup process. The updated card is expected to provide the same level of functionality and information while presenting it in a more engaging and streamlined fashion.
